Surfing is a great sport to be enjoyed by people of all ages and fitness levels. It is a great way to pick up a new sport or even just an excuse to get into the great outdoors. Beginner lessons take place in waist deep water so don’t worry if you aren’t confident in the water. Our Surf School is approved by the Irish Surfing Association, all lessons are fully insured and all instructors are qualified beach lifeguards.

Information about beginner surf lessons:

Adult €30 (3 lessons €85, 4 €110, 5 €130 on consecutive days). Groups of 7 and more €25pp.
Kids €25 (from 8 to 16yrs inclusive). Groups of 16 and more €20pp.
Lessons run at 10am and 2pm all year round. 5pm lesson available on request.
All instruction and equipment provided.
Transport to and from beach included.
The lessons last for about 3 hours.
Changing facilities, hot showers, and a hot drink after the session included.
All you need is a towel and swimwear.
We use 4/3mm suits in summer and 5/4/3mm suits in winter.

We have a range of surf and stay packages in Bundoran Surf Lodge.

Bundoran Surf Lodge is ideally located close to the beaches and also to the town centre. All the rooms in the lodge are spacious and have hotel standard beds. All private rooms are en-suite and with TV. Many of the rooms offer views of the main beach. We also offer free internet access and wireless broadband. There is a kitchen for guests to use, BBQ facilities, and free tea and coffee all day. We provide you with a healthy continental breakfast each morning to set you up for the day, with juice, cereals, toast, freshly brewed coffee and tea. Irish tourist board approved.

The lodge has four double/twin rooms and two triple rooms, all en-suite with TV. There are two bunk rooms that can sleep 4 and 6 people. The four bed dorm is en-suite and the six bed has its own private bathroom next door. Double, twin and triple rooms €25pps. Dorm room €20pps. Single supplement in private room €15 per night.

The Surf Lodge is open to everybody – you don’t have to be surfing with us to stay!

If you have done a few beginner surf lessons then you might want to join one of our improver surf lessons or improver surf weekends. If you have passed the improver level then you might want to join one of our Bundoran Surf Academy lessons.

Bundoran Surf Co is a surf school, surf lodge and surf shop located in Bundoran, Co. Donegal, the surf capital of Ireland. Bundoran Surf Co. was set up by Pete Craig and Aidan Browne in March 2005.

Between Pete, Aidan and the rest of the team you can be sure to get the best surfing tuition and information year round. Since setting up we have taught surfing to lots of people through our regular surf lessons and Surf Academy, as well as teaching local kids in our After School Surf Club. We have also had lots of happy guests in the Lodge, and loads of people through the shop.
